Earl Van Zandt Net Star CAHOKIA DOWNS, East St. Louis, 111., April 30. — Racing secretary L. Henderson Van Zandt received word over the weekend that his eighteen-year-old son, Earl, a student as Paschal High School, Ft. Worth, Texas won the district singles title in tennis competition held at Dallas, Texas, and is now eligible to compete in the state finals two weeks hence. Young Van Zandt is a tennis player of no little ability as attested by his garnering of some 40 titles and trophies thus far in his career.
