Beck lodged a claim of foul against the third finisher, j Miss Monk, alleging some crowding in the ] closing stages. The stewards, however, I 1 denied the claim. Beck was something of a hero to his fol-lowers , in that he rode three winners 1 throughout the evening. Virgil T.
