The latter displayed good speed from the start, held on with good courage, but appeared a bit short of her best effort. CINGALESE made up ground gradually and finished well. MY BLONDE moved up with a rush leaving the back stretch, took command quickly entering the stretch and held on gamely to outstay RENAISSANCE The latter was unable to keep up in the early stages, closed with a rush and was wearing down the winner. EVA B. showed a good effort. SARAHMOND was much used feircing the early pace, took a slight lead nearing the last quarter, then tired. IRISH WAKE had speed lor a half mile and then tired badly. The latter tired after showing a good burst of speed for a half mile. MODESTO had no mishaps.
