WEIGHTS FOR MARQUETTE Silversmith Out of Saturdays Feature Due to Injuries Capt. Cal and Silk Mask in Under 113. CRETE. 111.. Oct 6 With Mose Goldblatts Silversmith still on the inactive list as a result of injuries, top weight in the ,500 added Marquette Handicap, closing day feature of Lincoln Fields twenty-eight day race meeting, must be carried by Rosedale Stables Silk Mask and Tranquillity Farm Stables Capt Cal. Silversmith was assigned 116 pounds by racing secretary William H. Shelley for the mile and one furlong journey, but Silk Mask and Capt Cal are next on the list, at 113 each. Others rated highly are Prince Torch, at 112; Fra Diavolo and Cristate, at 109, and Billbo, at 108. A total of thirty-two were named when nominations came to a close August 29. The Marquette is the longest of the five added msney events offered during the meeting. The event figures as an open race and not a pronounced favorite has appeared at midweek.
