MARY ELLEN, away well but shuffled back soon afterward, moved up fast after a half mile, drove to the front in the last eighth and won drawing away. PEGGY TORCH, in close quarters early, improved her position fast when clear, was shuffled back at the far turn, weaved her way through the field in the stretch and finished strongly. CACARINA hustled into the lead, drew clear after three-sixteenths, responded to urging when challenged, but tired in the last eighth. WHATA QUESTION raced wide and was done after a half mile. HASTY ANN made up ground. .MASKED COELIA swerved to the inside when improving its position. MISS MONK was knocked back nearing the final quarter. DELMA DUNN, outrun for a half mile and lucky to find room when improving its position, finished stronely. TIMOROUS rushed to the front, was unable to draw dear and quit after five-eighths. The latter at home in the going, sprinted into a long lead after disposing of DARK REVUE and MACAWLEE, swune wide entering the stretch, gave way to the winner, but held on tenaciously. TRAUWINA worked its way forward steadily and finished well. GABRIEL showed a good effort. CUBAN BOY made up ground FUMBLE had no mishaps. DARK REVUE quit.
