Won handily; second and third driving. JOHN MARCUM, under early restraint, responded gamely when called upon, moved up fast on the outside, wore down DOMINANT STAR and won with speed to spare. DOMINANT STAR, hustled into a long lead in the first half mile, tired badly in the lasT eighth and was doing his best to hold HONEY ALL safe. The latter, away well, lacked early speed, finished gamely in the stretch and was going well at the end. BUD SMITH, outrun early, saved ground entering the stretch,- but tired in the final drive. CORIDA broke well, but was unable to keep up early, closed gamely on the outside in the last eighth and, while best of the others, did nol threaten the winner. PETRINA B., closest to the early pace, lacked her usual early speed and tired at the end. HOT CINDERS closed gamely. MY MODEL tired badlv in the last eighth. The others were never contenders. DUTCHY, far back early, gained gradually during the final half mile and was going gamely at the end. ENOLA broke well, dropped back in the back stretch, came between horses in the stretch and finished well. CLOIDO, LUCKY DAN and KRAKERJAC all tired badly.
