ROMANTIC STORY AT LEAST Moiffa, a New Zealand jumper and one of the three foreign-bred horses that have won the Grand National, is the hero of a story which may be taken with a grain of salt. The ship on which he was being transported to England foundered and Moiffa was reported lost A week or so later some fishermen are supposed to have seen the horse on an island and rescued him. Whether true or not Moiffa won the Ain-tree classic in 1901.
