I NEW ORLEANS TURF NOTES f Word was received from Thomas Bradley, steward at the Fair Grounds, who also served as representative of the West Virginia Racing Commission and as manager of Dade Park this summer, that several prominent stables around Kentucky are seeking stable space for the New Orleans meeting and that many new faces will be seen here this winter. George Swain writes that among the stables now in Chicago territory, which plan to ship here this winter, are those of Clarence Davison, Ross Higdon, Paul Kelly and John Oros. Manager Eddy of the Fair Grounds plans a conference with representatives of a camera eye. Eddy says he will not accept a camera until it has proven efficient. Word is expected from Walter OHara who plans to ship twelve head to New Orleans this winter. The Narragansett sportsman 1" S IL i 1 v i r ; K , l i ; has a fine string and his presence in New Orleans will do much to enliven the racing. The Fair Grounds gates will be formally opened for the reception of horses on October 15. There will be heavy arrivals of horses here following the close of the Epsom Downs meeting. One of the largest strings to be campaigned here this winter is that of Ed Haughton, including Black Highbrow, Good Soldier, Orthoprism, Cascapcdia. Tug Boat, Wee Wink, Askaris, Crowned Head, Swamp Angel, Quick Relief, Little Clelra, Little Hero, Joe D., Fritz W., Coming Back. Phar-atime. Advising Anna, Bedight, Postscript, Grandpas Boy, Bunny Martin and Hi-Vic.
