PANSYS FIRST, away fast and suited by the going, was under light urging to hold the lead the first five-sixteenths, increased her advantage quickly on the stretch turn and easily held sway thereafter. KINGS-HIGHWAY, on the inside early but taken out on the stretch turn, was under strong pressure the last three-sixteenths and wore down LEGION GIRL before reaching the final sixteenth. EPINEL, away well ,but unable to keep up, began to improve her position when saving ground on the stretch turn and.closed well under only mild pressure. GREYBROOM, having speed from the start, .was racing close up when forced back- approaching the stretch! was slow to recoverr.but closed well. ABLE ABE made" up ground in the finaUquarter, where he was on the outside. SUNDAD was in dose- quarters on the turn. MR. RICKS quit. The latter raced wide throughout, was under energetic riding after three-eighths and held on well. TIME BALL had speed from the start, but tired badly in the final quarter yet outstayed OSWEGO PRINCESS. The latter held on fairly well. ANNE L., on the inside throughout tired badly in the stretch. WOODLANDER, suited by the going and favored by the pace, raced under steady restraint for about fire-eighths, gained steadily when racing wide thereafter and, wearing down MARYNELL in the final sixteenth, work drawing out. The latter, much used in alternating with ANN ORULEY in the pacemaking, slowly shook off the latter after reaching the final quarter, but tired in the late stages and could not with stand the winner. ANN ORULEY, on the inside throughout and under hustling tactics from the start, had good speed in the going, but began to tire after reaching the final quarter. FRA DIAVOLO closed strongly. STROLLING HOME, inclined to bear in and taken back repeatedly, stood hand riding gamely the final quarter and wore down BLACK HAT in the final stride. The latter had speed from the start, but tired badly in the last quarter. ATIT had no mishaps. BEAVER LAKE, quickest to start, bolted when entering the back stretch and, striking the outside fence, unseated his rider. Scratched 35052 Legal Gamble, 112; 353831, 109. Overweight Atit, 4 pounds.
