CHEAP HORSES OFFERED AT LEXINGTON SALES LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct 23. This was a cold, raw, rainy morning, however, the attendance at the auction of thoroughbred horses at the Lexington sales paddock was very good. The offerings, however, were rather more in keeping with the weather- man than the attendance, because they were largely mediocre. The number sold was fifty-six for a total of 6,780, average 99.64. The principal consignments were from Hop-kinsville, Ky. They having been sent up by Adelbert Farm, Sominco Farm, Henry Alt-sheler- T, W. Garnett, John H. White, J. G. Flderand J. M. Bronaugh. The highest Sice of the morning was ,000 paid by F. P. Letellier for the yearling chestnut filly by Wise Counsellor from Maggie Hook, con signed by Wiley Brothers, of Lexington.
