BURL, hustled to hc front, drew clear rapidly, was nursed along to the stretch, responded to strong hand riding when tiring and outfinished EOI.D GENERAL. The latter, lucky to find room when racing; forward!-, was put to strong urging after reaching the stretch and was wearing the winner down at the end. MOANDMO, never far back, responded well when sent to the inside of the leaders and finished strongly. HENRY M. began from outside of the stalls, was forced to lose ground for three-eighths and tired. BLACK NICK had no mishaps. FLAMING TORCH, unable to improve its early position under strong urging, made up a little ground in the drive. JOB PRINTER was outrun. GAMALIEL, going in its best form and saved early,- responded to strong urging after being sent to the inside entering the stretch, wore THUNDER LOU down in the last sixteenth and won drawing away. The latter, hustled into a clear lead early, was put to good pressure when challenged and tired in the last stages. PRINCESS PYRE, outrun for a half mile, saved ground at the stretch and finished fast when guided to the outside during the final sixteenth. ROLANDA, used up in the pace, gave way in the final quarter. WISE CROSS quit. BETTY REJOICE quit after improving her position. GRATTAN was outrun. COURTNEYS PET, going in her best form and well handled, drove through the field when reaching contention, took command nearing the final quarter, swung a trifle wide entering the stretch, was put to stronger pressure when challenged, bore over slightly in the last stages, but outfinished ILCHESTER. The latter, unable to improve his position, was guided to the inside for the drive, was in close quarters in the last stages and hung near the end. PARGO, well up from the start and on the inside, was shuffled back in the stretch, came fast when clear and was gaining on the winner at the end. SWEET TODY rushed to the front, established a good lead after five-sixteenths, swerved when tiring in the drive and tired fast in the last stages. PHALAROPE raced evenly.
