APPRENTICE LE BLANC SERIOUSLY INJURED. LAUREL, Md., Oct 23 An accident that will keep the clever apprentice, H. Le Blanc, out of the saddle for several weeks befell the lad at Laurel Friday morning when he suffered a double fracture of his left wrist while schooling the three-year-old bay colt, Portnos, owned by R. S. Clark. The accident occurred during work hours, the colt crashing into the fence" on the main track near the six furlongs chute after breaking away from the stall .gate with two other horses being broken to blinkers. Jockey Le Blanc was rushed to the offices of Dr. B. P. Warren in Laurel, by a member of the ground crew employed by James F. Milton. The youngster is under contract to Max Hirsch and led the list of riders here since the local meeting was inaugurated, riding twenty-one winners. The horse Portnos suffered slight injuries as he struck the fence sideways according to observers.
