1 RIVER DOWNS TURF NOTES f $ . $ Henry Forrest has been engaged to train Morts Pal for R. Varwig. Lou linger reports that Beau Tod has a high bow and will be retired for the year. E. E. Fogwell arrived from Canada with Wild Rosebud, Mary Seibert, and Tasty. A. Maier has been engaged to train the plater, Tax Payer for M. Ward Martin. Jockey Harry Louman reported sick Friday and was permitted to cancel his engagements. Lirma, which James Collins purchased out of the Hal Price Headley consignment, and her full sister arrived here Friday and joined the string James Jones has here for the Detroit sportsman. Jones stated that the six yearlings and six brood mares which were purchased at the Lexington auctions were shipped to Collinsbrook Farm.
