TARPING forced the pace for a quarter, took a short lead thereafter, but could not withstand the winner and pulled up sore. CURLEY CUE, away fast, had good speed for a half mile and then tired slightly. RALPH C, fractious at the post, was outrun for a half mile, but closed gamely when put to pressure. MAYOR HOLCOMBE, away in a tangle, saved ground on the first turn, but failed to reach the leaders and tired. FANLE was outrun. The latter, never far back, moved up fast without need of strong urging after a half mile and, weakly handled in the closing stages; may have been best. BUSTANYBODY was rushed to the front on the first turn, but tired when subjected to punishment in the final eighth. THE MILLAY had no mishaps. ANNS BABY tired badly after showing speed for a half mile. EXONERATE never threatened. GAY DOG, outrun for three-eighths, steadily improved his position on the inside thereafter and closed strongly. CHARMING SIR, placed on the outside for the start and away fast, tired badly after forcing the pace for five-eighths. PROBATIONER was under strong urging throughout, MARCUS DOCILE, under slight icstraint for a half mile, failed to rally when shaken up. OGEE, a factor for about five-eighths, tired badly thereafter. JIM McCONNELL, forced to lose ground early, moved up rapidly after a half mile, disposed of CAPTAIN RED in the final eighth and was ready to draw nut. The latter disposed of ESCOSTAR after a half mile 2nd, alter taking a short lead, failed to withstand the winner. LUGEN LUGGAGE, never far back, was strongly shaken up after five-eighths and closed gamely. HIGH POCKETS, outrun for three-quarters, closed well. McKELL was through after a half mile. BEAU BON, a strong factor from the start, moved up fast after five-eighths to take command, raced wide on the stretch turn and, though giving way to the winner, held on well. FAIR BOY. outrun for a half mile, improved his position rapidly thereafter and finished strongly. BRILLIANT PAL showed the most speed for a half mile and then tired. QUICK DELIVERY was through after a half mile.
