AUTUMN5 HANDICAP FIELD Nine, Including Silverette, Among Contestants in Todays Feature at Sportsmans Park. CICERO, 111., Oct. 23. Silverette, star of last years meeting here and winner last Saturday of the Great Lakes Handicap, will try for her second major victory of the waning season in Illinois in the Autumn handicap, which headlines Saturdays program at Sportsmans Park. She is among nine which were entered overnight in the ,200 contest which will be decided over six and a half furlongs. Silverette was an easy winner of last weeks feature and on that performance seems destined to go to the post favorite in the Autumn. Handicap, for which she has been assigned top weight of 115 pounds. She is owned by Garrett Watts. Among those expected to oppose Silverette are the Blue Ridge Farms Transfun and Cardarrpne, the Tranquillity Farms Rock X., and C. E. Davisons Navanod, each of them likely to offer the sternest kind of opposition. Cardarrone finished second and Rock X. third to Silverette in the handicap a week ago, while Transfun is the only horse to have won three races during the current meeting. Others included in the entries for the week-end feature are Determined and Honored Sir, owned y J.J. CougTilin; Mrs. E. Oros Morning Mail, and the Spring Valley Farms Grand Rock. The Autumn Handicap tops a well-balanced program of eight races, which will bring :to a close the second week of racing at the popular local course.
