THURSLAND, going in his best form and well up from the start, responded readily to urging in the final quarter, disposed of MERE BLAZE and drew clear in the last sixteenth. The latter, hard hustled throughout, showed good early speed and held on gamely, but was no match for the winner. ALBERT BECK tired slightly in the drive. PATRONA forced the pace for the entire trip and finished gamely, but tired slightly in the drive. LADY ORCHID raced prominently throughout. WALL began slowly, worked its way up on the inside and finished strongly. MRS. M. J. had no mishaps. FLYING TRUE moved up with a rush soon after the start, drew into a good lead quickly and, continuing gamely, held COSSACK GIRL safe. The latter, raced well up throughout responded well to vigorous shaking up and was gaining on the winner slowly. ADA W. was hard hustled from the start but could not reach the leaders. GOOD SELKA faltered slightly in the drive after having been well up. CHESTNUT QUEEN had no mishaps. The latter was rushed into a good lead early, continued gamely, but could not withstand the winner. MISS MARS closed strongly after a slow start. TONEY DOO, under restraint early, moved up with a rush approaching the final quarter, got to the front, then tired. CATCHEM tired badly after three-quarters.
