YOUNG PLAYTIME rushed to a contending position with a big loss of ground, Svas steadied 6n the stretch turn and held on well after taking command under strong urging, but failed to hold the winner. DELOVELY, probably best and sharply forced back soon" after reaching the turn, was taken to the outside when clear and came with a rush in the stretch. GREEN COUNTRY also finished strongly. WESTYS HERO began to tire after reaching the final quarter. TRIPLANE was in close quarters on the turn and again in the stretch, having little chance. GREY FLASH quit badly. AFTER ALL, very fractious at the post but away well, followed the early pace under steady restraint, was placed to energetic riding soon after coming out in the final quarter and, after getting up, drew out last. RUSSMOR made the early pace under reserve and saved ground after the opening sixteenth but was placed to strong urging after reaching the last three sixteenths, tiring in the final eighth. PARMENARCH, taken back repeatedly, lost ground on the turn and closed on its own courage. DISTRACTIBLE had no mishaps. FLAG UNFURLED was in close quarters on the far turn. AHEAD showed- little. HOUR ZEV, eased back as CAIN came over from the outside leaving the back stretch, recovered quickly and, sent to the leaders fast on the outside, shook off OUR DAVID slowly in the final eighth, then drew out to win with something left. OUR DAVID, under light restraint early, took command after three-eighths and held on fairly well but could not withstand the winner. CHERAW raced wide and closed well, although showing signs of soreness upon, pulling up. MODEST MANNERS went well from a slow beginning. CAIN moved up on the outside in the first quarter, swerved slightly after reaching the turn, and tired in the "stretch. FULL UP quit and swerved out badly in the stretch. The latter, on the outside in the early racing, raced to the inside for the drive and closed with determination, but did not seriously menace the winner. SPICSON, badly outrun early, came with a rush on the outside in the last three-sixteenths. CHANTESUTA had no mishaps. SUN HOUR tired after a half mile. DISCOURSE was racing under stout restraint when shuffled back entering the stretch, but gave way badly when clear. SAINTE DESPOIR was outrun. WHATA QUESTION quit. Scratched 35761 Johns Mae, 101. EXPONENT, under steady restraint early, came to the extreme outside in the stretch and closed resolutely. ANKLETS was going well in the late stages. SILVER BRAID, quick to start and on the inside after the first five-sixteenths, drew into a short lead when placed to pressure in the stretch, but tired in the closing strides. SIR BOSTON, outrun-for three-quarters; came with a rush and after getting to the front withstood WILD TRANSITS bid. The latter, also far back for three-quarters, swung to the extreme outside in the stretch and, closing with a rush, barely missed getting up. SWAP, reserved off the pace, responded willingly when called upon and quickly raced into command but tired badly in the final seventy yards. HAZY AUTUMN could not get up. PARITY was under pressure after a half mile and tired in the stretch. SORCERY had no mishaps. WESTERN RUN quit. Scratched 42909 Paplay, 103; 42609:iSisko, 100.
