OMAHA TURF NOTES s Apprentice R. Mason, one of the best "bug" boys at Omaha, is attempting to buy his contract from Li. S. Westrope. Mason would like to become affiliated with some large stable. Due to increasing weight, jockey J. Bucalo has decided to retire from the saddle. He will continue to gallop horses for Childs and Walker. Jockey J. Donoho, who rode at Ak-Sar-Ben during the early days of the meeting, packed up and left Tuesday. Twelve head of horses, the property of Lonnie Copenhaver, arrived Tuesday morning from Vancouver, B. C. The shipment was accompanied by jockey F. Miller. Copenhaver led the owners at Ak-Sar-Ben last season. The "eye-in-the-sky" camera device is now being used to photograph the finishes at Ak-Sar-Ben. Early Harvey, one of the inventors of the machine, was a recent arrival from Winnipeg. 1
