LADIES DAY AT RIVERSIDE KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 15. Tuesdays races at Riverside Park were conducted on a fast track and eight well-matched fields paraded to the post. It was Ladies Day again and a large turnout of the fair sex helped swell the crowd to average week-day proportions. The weather, while slightly cloudy, was ideal for the sport, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. Modesto, an outsider, was returned an easy winner of the first race when at the end of the six furlongs she was five lengths in the van of Mrs. H. G. Hydes St. Mica, with Able Abe closing gamely to take third place.
