WEIGHTS FOR WOLVERINE Whopper Assigned 130 Pounds for Detroits Saturday Headliner Works Mile on Slow Track. DETROIT, Mich., June 15. Hal Price Headleys Whopper, winner of the Col. Alger Memorial Handicap, as well as two other stakes this year, was assigned top impost of 130 pounds for Saturdays renewal of the ,000 Wolverine Handicap. Walter OHaras New Deal and Mucho Gusto and j Fred M. Alger, Jr.s Azucar follow next, under 116 pounds each, and then comes j Millsdale Stables Infantry under 112 pounds. Whopper has been here since his Alger victory, and this morning over a slow track and in company with Sandy Boy stepped a mile in 1:44.. The big son of Pharamond H. was equipped with blinkers and he reeled off the quarter in :25, half-mile in :50 and three-quarters in 1;17.
