SYM JACK, closest to PANATELA in the early running, wore down the latter in the stretch and bested her in a drive. PANATELA opened up a good leaed in the early running, tired after entering the stretch and was headed, but came again near the end. SEALINE showed a fairly good effort to best the others. FLASHING THRU, easily best, headed MARCH STEP when ready on the stretch turn and, drawing into a good lead, had little trouble holding PHYLLIS C. The latter made a strong run in the stretch but was not good enough, although finishing close to the winner. MARCH STEP had early speed but tired and pulled up lame. The .others were outclassed. CAREFULLY was outrun early and lost much ground while making her move in the middle of the track but closed fast to catch AMAZER and had little trouble besting CHICKEN LADY. The latter showed much improvement to save ground in the stretch and went strongly to the finish. AMAZER raced SWEET BERT into defeat but quit badly in the last eighth. SWEET BERT tired. BARBARA A. raced on even terms with BAHADUR for over half the distance, then drew out and had enough left at the end to hold BOON TIME safe. The latter made a strong run on the outside after leaving the back stretch and, although meeting with slight interference when BARBARA A. bore out near the end, was challenging in determined fashion at the end. BAHADUR was used up keeping pace with BARBARA A. in the early stages. ALBINO never threatened the leaders. The latter, well up from the start, continued stubbornly and was going gamely at the end. GALLTENNE had the most early speed and raced well after being headed. DENVER LAD sprinted to the front early to open up a good lead while setting the pace, but tired in the stretch. MISS KIEV raced wide while making her move, but. could not get up.
