BLUE BONNETS TURF NOTES $ Jockey A. Page was thrown from H. B. Kellys juvenile filly Contento this morning when she was being brought on the track to work. She ran off through the stables, but both escaped injury. W. T. Trenholmes Quebec Kings Plate nominees, Cuvanna and Salvus, worked together Tuesday morning for three-quarters. They went through the heavy going in 1:29, with Salvus drawing into a slight lead at the end. Apprentice A. Barnett, when taken to the hospital, was found only to have been stunned and was able to return to the track, having only a severe headache. Apprentice Don Grant, under contract to H. N. Henderson, son of Dr. Henderson, Toronto veterinary, arrived at Blue Bonnets Monday afternoon from Detroit, Mich. Grant started his career in Cleveland, Ohio, last season and rode his first winner at the Arlington Downs track, Texas, and later rode at New Orleans. Grant scales at 103 pounds and should be a valuable addition to the local riding colony. I T. Sullivan, local trainer who raced an extensive stable on the Canadian tracks a few years ago, arrived from New York with five horses, the property of T. F. Swords and Mrs. J. Meir. They unloaded Tuesday morning at Blue Bonnets and will remain for the Quebec season. They are Legendary, Epitaph, Black Girl, Moonburn and Sweeping In. Jockey Frank Sargent arrived from Maryland to join the stable of trainer Clarence Middleton. D. J. Cameron of Cornwall, Ontario, vanned the five-year-old Prince Pal mare Jolly Gal to Blue Bonnets and turned her over to trainer J. E, Hughes. .
