Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third the same. SAINT PIERRE moved into command shortly after the start, showed high speed and drew away winning with speed in reserve at the end. STALAGMITE, under severe, pressure in the stretch run, could not menace the winner. ROYAL HOBO moved up with determination on the outside rounding the stretch turn, then hung. FLYAHEAD broke fast but quickly dropped back and could not improve its position thereafter. GABE J. had no mishaps. PETOLETTE was outrun. RISE AND SHINE was outrun from the start. Won easily; second arid third the same. LOUGHTREA jumped well and followed the pace under steady restraint, moved up with a rush after taking the twelfth fence, moved into command and was under mild hand urging at the finish. YEMASEE was rushed into command after the start, showed speed but bobbled at the tenth and thirteenth fences and could not stave off the rush of the winner. GREEK IDOL made a bobble at the seventh fence but could not menace the leaders when called upon. ROUND BEND tired badly after a bobble at the ninth fence. POCKMANTIE was carried wide rounding the turn but responded gamely to severe urging and finished fast to wear down SUN FLO, then drew away. SUN FLO, a forward factor from the start, shook off PEGGY BYRNE nearing the final eighth, then faltered after bearing out slightly. PEGGY BYRNE, well up all the way, showed a good effort. RIPPLES showed early speed, then came again at the finish. GRA VILLA closed steadily under urging.. FLYING LANCE, close up on the inside, had no mishaps. POUND FOOLISH, fractious at the post, had no mishaps. BROWN CHICK was bumped after the break. RAGS AND TAGS broke well but dropped back quickly and could not improve her position, FOURTH RACE 1 MILE. NIGHT BUD was outrun the first part but improved his position steadily when straightened out in the stretch and finished well. RECORDER improved his position steadily on the outside, disposed of the leaders in the stretch but was bearing out and outlasted GODSPEED in the final drive. The latter was close up in the early stages, was guided to the inside through the final eighth and finished well. ALARMING raced forwardly all the way and had no mishaps. MAESUN was away well but outrun the first part, and then came again at the end. EARLY EVENING was rushed into command after the start, showed early speed but faltered under the weight. VEILED LADY moved up on the outside rounding the stretch turn, made a determined bid, but faltered at the end. HARRYS DREAM was knocked back at the far turn when in a contending position.
