ENQUIRER HANDICAP FIELD At Least Fifteen Counted On as Starters in Saturdays Big Feature at Latonia. LATONIA, Ky., June 22. With twenty-four of the thirty eligibles for the Enquirer Handicap on the grounds and in active training, a large field seems assured for the twentieth running of that Latonia fixture here Saturday. Weights for the week-end feature were released by racing secretary William H. Shelley late Monday, with the honor of being highweight in the handicap going to Mose Goldblatts Dnieper, 115 pounds being the assignment The Millsdale Stables Infantry and Giant Killer, two that are not quartered at the local course, are next in the line of weights, each being assigned 112 pounds, with J. W. Parrishs Dehor, which finished third in last Saturdays renewal of the American Derby at Washington Park, having a weight assignment of 111 pounds; The feld for the running will come from the following: Cinar, Chigre, Manners Man, Wbodberry, Just Frank, Vitamin B., Josh, Dnieper, Gillie, Dead Calm, Arabs Arrow, Blue Gauntlet, Aunt Myrtle, John Francis, Tear Out, Little Nymph, Dehor, Snow Fairy, Main Man, Silk Mask, Wise Bessa, Chenault, Grey Friar and Compensatory, with the possibility that either Gaint Killer or Infantry may be sent on from Chicago to fill their engagements. The only nominees that are not likely to start are W. J. Sprows Indian Head and Palamede, while Lancewood has been thrown out of training. It would occasion no surprise if a field of at least fifteen is named overnight for the Enquirer, to the winning owner of which goes a silver trophy in addition to the major share of the ,500 added money, with which ; the race has been endowed.
