TAB ME, away fast but sharply taken up to escape falling in the early crowding, came with high speed on the outside and got up in the closing strides. MAFUTA rushed into a long lead, raced with good courage to the last eighth, then faltered badly; CINDY raced wide much of the trip, bore over as she closed resolutely, in her good performance. EBONY BOY, in close quarters early and again in the stretch, rallied only mildly when clear. SWEET SHOWNO, away slowly, failed to get through in tKe first quarter, moved up on the inside when entering the- stretch, faltered in the drive and was in close quarters on the inside near the finish. MADERIS, brought over sharply soon after the start and taken under restraint after a quarter, drew into a long lead when placed to light pressure in the stretch arid probably had something left. EVENING GOWN, jostled about in the early racing, saved some ground on the turn and, closing resolutely, withstood the rush of DISCOURSE. The latter, slow to start and far back for a half mile," came with a rush on the outside thereafter. HOUR ZEV, impeded shortly after the start and again, on the turn, .where SAINTE DESPOIR bumped him, moved up threateningly on the outside in the stretch, but -tired near the end. UPHOLDER gave a fair effort from a sluggish start. FANLE swerved when tiring in the stretch. SAINTE DESPOIR swerved out on the turn. LADY CHINIQUY quit badly. MISS BAM, raced wide and having the benefit of the pace, began to make up ground slowly after reaching the stretch, overtook OTTOMAN in the closing strides and appeared ready to draw out. OTTOMAN forced the early pace under stout restraint, took command under vigorous riding arid held on with good courage but could not hold the winner. COL. PETE, a factor from the start and raced, wide, tired slightly in the drive but outstayed CHIPETA. The latter, on the inside throughout, had good speed from the start but began to tire after reaching the last three-sixteenths. GLEANING RUTH held on well. JINNEE pulled up lame. The latter, well up from the start and raced wide when under reserve the first five-eighths, was slightly eased to go to the inside as the winner began to swerve and stood the pressure gamely when straightened out. MORE. NEWS was under strong urging after a half mile and held on well. OVER YONDER tired in the final eighth. SUN CAPTOR bore to the inside in the early stages, swerved out through the final sixteenths and his rider could not do him justice. BARTERING KATE dropped out of it on the turn. RIFTED CLOUDS, going in her best form and breaking fast to gain an immediate advantage, cut out a fast pace under steady restraint to the stretch, easily increased her advantage when roused after about five-eighths and probably had something in reserve. CROSSBOW II., forced to race wide and under restraint for a half mile, was placed to stout pressure in the final quarter and tired near the end, but held CROSS S. safe. The latter, badly outrun early and brought to the extreme outside in the stretch, closed fast. PREEMINENT, blocked soon after the start and lacking its usual early speed when clear, raced wide in the last three-eighths and failed to withstand CROSS S., though holding on well. BOMBER, away well and under mild pressure while going fonvardly, was taken to the outside on the turn and moved up steadily under pressure to overtake GIRLS CHANCE on the inside. The latter settled into her stride quickly, set a fast early pace while saving ground and bore out badly when tiring in the final sixteenth. SUN SPICE, slow to start, moved up fast between horses and finished stoutly. REAL ONE lacked early speed, raced on the outside throughout and closed with a belated rush. IRISH IMAGE, taken under restraint after racing into command in the opening quarter, was rated along in the stretch, increased his advantage under mild urging, but tired in the final eighth and had to be placed to strong pressure to hold BULLICIOSO safe. The latter, under light restraint for about three-quarters, lost much ground on the stretch turn and, closing with good speed, was getting to the winner at the end. MOUSE TRAP, badly outrun early, closed strongly. PEACE MOVE had no mishaps. PAPLAY, away slowly, was rushed in forcing the pace and tired. MEMPHIS LASS quit. Scratched 43541Alicc Byrd, 102.
