f LEXINGTON TURF NOTES s C. C,, Van Meter returned to Keeneland from Latonia last week-end with Wall, Big Tim and Park City, having sold Zingali to Frank Letellier, and Javamocha to Smith . G. Baker. He is preparing to take up several yearlings which he will break at Keener land. M. N. Porter, having retired from racing, is re-establishing himself in the thoroughbred hunter and show horse business, in . which he was very successful for several years. Several days ago he bought Line Drive, chestnut gelding, four-year-old, by Mid Way Sweet Liberty, from N. E. Shop, at Beulah Park, and Saturday at Latonia he bought Road Knight, bay gelding, three-year-old, by Sir Andrew Janis D., from T. M. Botts. Both geldings are now at Paradise Stock Farm, where tbey will be schooled. Dan B. Midkiffs Brown Knight, two-year-old brown colt, by Hourless Dorothy Page, is sick at Keeneland. After a good trial Sunday morning he developed an acute case of kidney trouble. Charles Bond arrived at Slickaway Farm Tuesday from Branncastle Farm, Frederick, Md., with Roy Carruthers After Dark, a daughter of Pompey, which had visited Challenger LT. Languorous, purchased last week by Val-dina Farms, arrived Tuesday at Thomas Carr Piatts Crestwood Farm, from Aga-wam Park.
