PASSABLE, going in his best form and well up from the start, was shuffled back at the far turn, came fast when clear, wore KINGS DOUBLE down in the stretch and won easily. SWING IT, away slowly and outrun for three-eighths, responded fast on the extreme outside in the stretch and closed with a rush. DARBY DARLIN held on well. KINGS DOUBLE took command at once, sprinted into a long lead during the opening eighth, gave way when challenged, but came again in the last stages. SORTIE STAR raced greenly. D. D. McCARTY came up sharply when improving his position at the far turn, and tired in the drive. MAJOR SWEEP, fractious and away very slowly, showed greenness. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. GAY BILL, forced to lose ground when reaching contention, forged to the. front in the. stretch,..drew clear rapidly and won in hand. SEQUOIA, a strong factor from the start and in close quarters -the greater part of the trip, went into the lead nearing the final quarter, was unable to draw clear, but held on well. SURPRISE BOX worked his way forward steadily, came over sharply in the drive and finished strongly. JUST HIGH saved ground and came back lame. TRANSPOSE raced wide and showed little. . The latter, well up from the start, disposed of HARRYS CHOICE after three-eighths, drew clear in the stretch, but failed to withstand the winner. LEE CLOUD closed with a rush.
