MILLIMETER was in closest pursuit of the early pace, and continued with good energy to the close. SWEET TOKALON raced evenly throughout. KEEP CHERRY dropped back in the first sixteenth, moved up stoutly on the outside, made her effort approaching the stretch and retired In the last three-six tenths. PAQUES was forwardly placed throughout, although tiring in the last three-sixteenths. ADDIS ABABA was well placed but unable to close ground when called upon. LIMIT, away fast, met determined early opposition from FRANCINE C, shook her off and opened up a commanding advantage, holding sway to the end, although ridden out sharply to the end. FRANCINE C. had good speed, made a game attempt to go along with the winner, but was not good enough, although racing gamely to the end and barely lasted to stall off the fast closing SUDDENLY. The latter, away well, dropped back in the opening eighth but moved up steadily and came with a rush. LANDLUBBER trailed for the first half mile, coming stoutly on the inside through the stretch run. MAZIE was hard ridden and well placed but unable to keep pace in the driye. PARLOR TRICK was never prominent. LANTANA raced extremely wide entering the stretch. DARK WAR displayed good speed in pacemaking and continued with good energy to the end. DEDICATION was slow to settle in his best stride, moved up gamely nearing the far turn and, coming to J the outside, continued stubbornly to the end. NIPANTUCK was well placed early and, unable to improve his 1 position during the opening three-eighths, came through on the inside in the last quarter mile and, saving all possible ground, was unable to reach the leaders.
