BIG FISH FURNISHES UPSET Scores Handy Victory Over Good Sprinters in Care Free Purse at Hamilton Track Good. HAMILTON, Ont, June 28.-Big Fish, homebred son of Old Koenig ancl Lady An-geler, upset calculations somewhat when he drove to a handy victory over Listaro, Bos-cobel and five other fair sprinters in the Care Free Purse, which was the best event offered at the Hamilton Jockey Club this afternoon. The winner finished a length and a half in advance of Paul Mecklenburgs ; Listaro, which just managed to stall off the aged Boscobel for the second place award. Another half length away came the Cosgrave Stables Aunt Flor. They named the feature offering on Mondays program after the immortal Care Free, and the game and consistent son of Colin, which met defeat only once in seventeen trips to the races over this same course, and that was in his very last start here. Like opening day, ideal racing conditions prevailed. The track was the scene of a veritable cloudburst early Sunday morning, but it dried out rapidly to be termed no worse than "good" at post time. The crowd was surprisingly large for a Monday. In earning his second consecutive set of brackets, Big Fish probably ran the best race he has turned in this season. After following the fast pace set by Listaro and Aunt Flor, he drove into a lead at the eighth post and from there home was gaining on the company. After being one of the first out of the gate, Listaro dropped back slightly, as did Boscobel, which encountered a little trouble on the turn. The Mecklenburg gelding gained fast to take second, but he was being pressed strongly by Boscobel. jAunt Flor had no excuses to offer for her defeat. j
