JOHN ONE, raced wide, was sent to the leaders with a rush, on the stretch turn and, holding on gamely, outstayed MAD MONEY. The latter, having fine speed from the start and taken to the inside on the turn, was under strong riding after about three-eighths, and fought it out gamely. DETROIT BULL tired in the stretch. The latter, shuffled back on the turn, came to the extreme outside in the stretch- and, finishing with a rush, was rapidly getting to the winner. SKALKAHOE, in tight quarters early, raced to the leaders with a rush after reaching the final quarter, but tired in the late stages. CROUT AU POT repeatedly lacked ample room, though she managed to keep up in the early racing, dropped back slightly soon after reaching the stretch, but came again. KNEE ACTION, reserved off the pace and saving ground for almost three-quarters, raced around MIBS on the stretch turn and, drawing out into a good lead before reaching the final eighth, held sway to the end. MIBS, weakly handled, had good speed from the start, readily gave way to the winner and closed on her own courage.
