ARLINGTON PARK NOTES s t Ruckie, Mr. Joe and Sisko, owned by J. R. Bridwell and trained by R. B. Bridwell, left Washington Park Sunday for Thistle Down. Dee Packer, apprentice jockey from Og-den, Utah, who rode with success at La-tonia, accompanied the stable of F. P. Letel-lier to Arlington Parle. A. G. Tarn, Canadian horseman, who has one of the largest stables on the grounds, left for Winnipeg for a visit of a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gerwig were visitors for the Arlington opening as the guests of John William Ashton. They will return to the East Tuesday night. D. Womeldorff, who trains for J. Emery, cancelled his stall reservations at Arlington Park and instead transferred his horses to Lincoln Fields where they will be rested until the opening of the meeting there. Five horses, owned by P. L. Kelley, arrived Sunday in charge of T. Mahoney; seven others from the same stable are to come from Detroit within a few days. A notable addition to the ranks of apprentice riders here is Jack Richard, eighteen-year-old Strausberg, Va., boy who came here with the stable of Mrs. A. M. Creech. The horses which Frank P. Letellier registered were Billbo, Southland Beau, Chub-bins, Golden Nut, Prince Feng, Squaw Lady, Fredalou, Marie Jean, Wise Princess, Grey Squaw, Chief Mentaur, Callahan, Zengali, Legal Advice, Little Drift and Miss Lizzie. The property of various owners, they came from Latonia. G. B. Scallon, who trains his stable of horses here, is nursing a fractured wrist, having been kicked while inspecting one of Western Runs hind feet. C. Hyde Smith came in from Detroit with a division of the Oddesa Farm stable. Included were Oddesa Lady, Oddesa Billy, Oddesa Frank, Oddesa Maid, Oddesa Lass, Oddesa Helen, Margaret I. and Don Creole. Another division of the establishment was left at Detroit in charge of R. Freeman. The Elm Tree Stables three-year-old filly, Lauy Sybil, was received here by Roscoe Goose, who will look after her until her engagement in the Matron Stakes here next Saturday. She was sent here from Detroit by trainer C. W. Damon. A. G. Wilson, C. Hyde Smith, Frank Walker and E. B. Carpenter were granted trainers licenses. Jockey Albert Morgan, twenty-year-old Louisiana boy, is here to do the riding for F. A. Burtons Everglades Stable, trained by John S. Ward. This establishment is headed by the handicap performer, Deliberator. Jockey Bobby Wholey arrived from Detroit and will ride during the Arlington Park meeting. Wholey will do the riding for the Dixiana establishment until jockey Charley Stevenson gets in from the Motor City within a fer days. Maj. Louis Beard, director of the. Whitney racing interests, who will serve as steward representing the Arlington Park Jockey Club during the meeting, arrived from Kentucky Monday morning. In the upper stand with him will be C. J. FitzGerald, Sr., state steward, and Otto W. Lehman, honorary steward. Whopper, giant star of the Hal Price Head-ley stable, and seven other horses, were shipped from Detroit to Arlington Park to join the division of twelve already at the north side course. Trainer Duval Headley accompanied the Detroit division and will remain for the Arlington meeting. Whopper, defeated in the Frontier Handicap at Detroit Saturday, was entered in Mondays Inaugural Handicap here, but was with-, drawn.
