I AGAWAM TURF NOTES 6 Governor Robert E. Quinn of Rhode Island has graciously consented to do the honors of presenting a trophy to the -winner of the James F. Thornton Memorial Handicap that will feature the program at Agawam Park on Saturday. Governor Quinn will be here with a large party of friends for the occasion. J. Donald Hay returned from a visit to Delaware Park over the week-end and was back at his post as director of the mutuel department. Jockey W. E. Snyder, a recent arrival from New York, is the new member of the local riding brigade. Many of the stables racing here have made application for stabling accommodations at Belair, the new track in Maryland which will be inaugurated after the close of Delaware Park. Applications can be mailed to the track in Belair, Md. Weston Adams, who raced with good success at the recent Suffolk Downs meeting, is considering shipping part of his stable to Agawam Park to finish out the balance of the meeting.
