PAUL RYAN DEPARTS FOR NEW TRACK IN CALIFORNIA ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 28. Although a number of the countrys leading riders were in colors at Arlington Park this afternoon, one important absentee was Paul Ryan, young Chicago apprentice, who led the list of saddle artists during the Homewood season. Ryan left over the week-end for the Del Mar track in California with R. T. Watts, trainer of the stable of William F. Morgan, Texas sportsman. A number of larger stables have been dickering for the contract on Ryan and his many Chicago followers will be watching with interest his riding at the new California course. The young Chicagoan gives promise of becoming one of the countrys topnotchers. 1 I
