ELBEE FARMS STALLIONS LOS ANGELES, Calif., Dec. 14. Elbee .Farms has added materially to the breeding stock of California. The breeding industry in this state, growing by leaps and bounds for the last three years, received a tremendous impetus when Elbee Farms came into the picture last August. Besides acquiring thirty-odd brood mares of the highest type, the new establishment has gone about preparing for a well-rounded nursery in all its j phases. Two high-class sires were recently obtained in the East, and now are standing at stud in "this state. These are the American-bred Balko and the imported, By-Pass II. The plan is to use these sires until one or more of the other potential stallions, which still are in training for a campaign at Santa Anita this winter, shall be retired to the stud. The latter include Brooklyn, Peri-fox, Magic Hour and Main Man.
