TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS PRIZES NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 14. Jockeys and trainers plying their respective professions at the Fair Grounds this season will have added incentive to carry off championship honors of the season, it was announced today by general manager Robert S. Eddy, Jr. Arrangements have been made for the offering of two Longines wrist watches, one to be presented to the leading jockey and the other to the leading trainer at the close of the Louisiana Jockey Clubs 1938-39 meeting which still has a large portion of its 105 days to run. Rules governing the contests were announced today and they are open to all apprentices and jockeys licensed at the Fair Grounds and all trainers.
