INVADERS PERFORMING WELL NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 14. When Hijo Manso finished third behind Larry S. and Miss Dolphin recently at the "Fair Grounds, the Argentine-bred runner gave indication of proving a successful invader from the land of the Pampas. Without the usual ballyhoo that attends the arrival of most invaders, Hijo Manso, Derroche and Mon Reve were brought to New Orleans by Louis W. Johnson, who imported these and others from South America earlier in the year. Outside of proving good eaters, the trio of invaders did nothing in racing to distinguish themselves in the United States. As a matter of fact, they have done very little racing.
