I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES s Jockeys Andy LoTurco, Melvin Knight and Bob Finnerty, who figured in spills. Tuesday afternoon at the Fair Grounds, remained idle Wednesday afternoon, but apprentice Eddie Robart, another to fall from, his mount, was back in action. E. E. Russell, trainer of the Weston W. Adams stable, reported that Alergy, which fell in the third race Tuesday, developed a soreness overnight and suffeAd brush burns when she bolted through the fence after regaining her feet. J. L. Deaner, who is associated with George B. McCamey in the ownership of the McDee Stable, came in from Texas for a visit of several days. Frank C. Dunn was an arrival from his home in Curtis, Ohio, and will remain here for a few days before making his return to spend the Christmas holidays. Dunns horses, seven in number, are turned out in Ohio, while he has three at the Fair Grounds for campaigning. Apprentice Jimmy Brennan, another Panamian boy, has been leased to Frank Kurinec, trainer for the Blue Ribbon Stock Farm, by C. E. Stewart, holder of the papers on the youngster. J. A. Kinard, Jr., owner of a modest stable quartered at the Fair Grounds, is a visitor in New Orleans for several days, coming from his home in Marrianna, Ark. Apprentice Earl Dew, who suffered a broken leg during the first few days of the Louisiana Jockey Club meeting, has had the cast replaced on the injured member and is now able to get around with the aid of crutches. Paul Hirtenstein, who has been in New Orleans covering the races for the Chicago-Daily News since the start of the season, left for Miami, Fla., today for the Tropical Park and Hialeah sessions.
