, 1 FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTKM David C. Johnston, who recently entered field of thoroughbred breeders, at his 1,300-acre farm in Lindsay, La., was a visitor at the Fair Grounds and reported that Tea Green, which died, has been replaced with the stallion Goof. Al Gaal has the two-year-old Molly Green at the Fair Grounds for Johnston. The only two horses that E. H. Gaines had at Jefferson Park and four belonging to the Liberty Lane Stable, have been transferred to the Fair Grounds for the remainder of the meeting. Because of bruises and a cut on his arm, jockey Bob Finnerty, veteran New Orleans reinsman, will be out of the saddle for a few days. The draft of the third issue of the Louisiana Jockey Clubs condition book was placed m the hands of the printer this morning by R. A. Leigh, racing secretary. Trainer E. T. Moore vanned the horses of the Jerry McCarthy Stables to Tropical Park, where they will be raced during the remainder of the winter season. The horses include OBantam, Just an Idea, Lady Patrol, Grace Grier, Shotty, Old Main Road, Old Mexico, OShirl, Loyal Cohort and Fumble. Under the rules of the Louisiana Jockey " Club, apprentice Pete McLean, who drew a suspension of twenty days for rough riding in the seventh race Tuesday, was permitted to ride out his engagements Wednesday, making his suspension begin with Thursdays racing. Jules Green, manager of the Border Farm of F. J. Demary of Orange, Texas, received word that a handsome weanling colt arrived there. He was purchased some time ago. Border Farm is located at Orange, Texas, on the Louisiana-Texas border, from which it derives its name.
