SALMON INSPECTS STALLIONS LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 14. Walter J. Salmon, accompanied by Mrs. Salmon and A. Pons, spent last week-end at the Mere-worth Stud inspecting stallions, mares and weanlings and going over breeding plans for 1939 with manager Robert H. Bardwell. Mr. and Mrs. Salmon departed Sunday afternoon for New York. Pons is remaining here for a day or two longer. It was announced that Steve Vaught, former agent for Brook-meade Stable, has been engaged to assist Dr. Bardwell in booking mares to the stallions at Mereworth Stud.
