I TANF0RAN TURF NOTES s- s Malicious, the marathon champion and one of the most popular horses, arrived here recently from Santa Anita. Now in retirement at the ripe bid age of twelve, hes making a farewell tour and hell gallop under silks -between races next Tuesday. Bubbling Boy, according to trainer Cecil Wilhelm, has developed into a "climber" and this serious fault in his action has the Loeff stable in a quandry. Bubbling Boy "was "climbing" in both of his last races. Congressman may be a sharp threat for the Marchbank Handicap, according to Man-nie Keller of the Tanforan clocking ..staff. This Santa Anita star is being prepped at Bay Meadows and hes coming along excellently, after being idle since the southern course closed. He worked five-eighths in 1:02 Thursday morning, going in easy fashion. Brown Jade, the brilliant California-bred mare owned by William LeBaron, stepped three-eighths in :35 handily, in a smart move. Shortly afterward the Argentine star. Falerno, owned by Mrs. J. F. Waters, worked the same distance in :36, handily. Then W. B. Stuckis Daybreak monopolized the dockers attention by going a half in :48, handily.
