ARIEL TOY HAVRE ARRIVAL Arkansas Derby Winner to Start in the Chesapeake Stakes Owner Stops Off at Lexington. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 7. Hugh W. Jackson, owner of Ariel Toy, Arkansas Derby winner, stopped off in Lexington today en route to Baltimore from Hot Springs to inspect two brood mares he has quartered at Castleton Stud. A telegram awaited Mr. Jackson notifying him that the son of Ariel unloaded this morning at Havre de Grace after an uneventful trip from the Vapor City. "Ariel Toys next engagement will be the Chesapeake Stakes," said owner Jackson. "He gets in the race under 114 pounds arid I believe he will win it. Unless present plans miscarry, Ariel Toy, following the Chesapeake, will be rested at Havre de Grace for several days and then will be shipped to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. The horse came out of the Arkansas Derby in fine style and I am sure he is a stayer." After a visit to Castleton Stud, Mr. Jackson continued on to Baltimore.
