ONISAC was slow to begin and, outrun early, responded gamely to urging and finished well. PORT WALES was close to the pace from the start and tired in the final drive. PRAETOR was sent into command at the start, saved ground, but tired in the stretch. TONYPANDY moved up fast after the start and had no mishaps. HUGOOD raced evenly throughout. CRACK FAVOR was green. DUNCANNON tired badly after showing early speed. WAR RUMOR could not keep up. SHANTEB shewed flashes of speed. The others had no excuses. CORNWALLIS appeared sore going to the post and, close to the early pace, assumed command when urged, but could not withstand the winner. AMHURST showed good form throughout and had no mishaps. WAR GRAND was in close quarters passing the half-mile post and, eased back, moved up gamely on the inside on the stretch turn, then tired near the finish. ARBOREAL showed early speed and had no mishaps. VENDORS LIEN raced well from the start. M. M. BACHMAN and KITSY S. were outrun after being away slowly. LITTLE DRIFT, close to the pacemaker from the start and hard urged in the stretch, tired. TEDDY PATIC was sent up with a rush on the back stretch and showed speed when sent into command and held on well to finish on even terms with KENTY. The latter was outrun to the first turn, moved up with a rush on the back stretch, was placed under pressure in the final sixteenth and came again at the end. LANDLUBBER, a trailer to the far turn, made up ground steadily at the end. KNOXVILLE, well up early, was bothered on the far turn and dropped back. RED JACK had no mishaps in the running.
