SIVA moved up fast on the outside of the leader after rounding the far turn and drew away decisively through the stretch. DON GOMEZ was always close up and held on fairly well to the end. ONE KNOT saved ground in the run home and closed resolutely. BUSY MACK raced McKELL into defeat, but tired in the final eighth. JOAN MACAW closed some ground on the outside through the stretch. McKELL quit. ODDESA BILLY began slowly and was never a factor. BEAVER LAKE closed gamely on the outside of the leaders in the final eighth and, finishing courageously, outlasted the fast-finishing LACONIC. The latter came very fast in the center of the track through the stretch and was going strongly at the end. FRISCO was a keen factor throughout, saving ground and had no mishaps. TIME AND AGAIN secured a slight lead when an eighth out, but was in close quarters and tired slightly in the final drive. HILDUR QUEEN tired. The others were outrun.
