MISS AFA came along steadily to head the field in the stretch and won under urging. ROUGE CATALAN made a good effort in the stretch. TAKA WALK tired after showing a good effort. BESTIR was away slowly, but was under pressure in the last quarter, improved position and finished strongest. EGYPTIAN QUEEN set the early pace, but tired when the real chance came. HAPPY HILLS, sent into contention early, saved ground while following the pacemakers, withstood a drive when called upon and, assuming the lead in the last eighth, held LUCKY KATE safe. LUCKY KATE was on the inside and closed resolutely. SEMINOLE QUEEN made up some ground at the end. PARWRACK raced wide entering the stretch, but finished strongly. SANTER and MISS LOU ELLEN quit.
