Won driving; second and third the same. • BAY CARSE, outrun until reaching the stretch, weaved between horses during the stretch run after going into contention and, coming strongly, was up in the last seventy yards. AIR STREAM held a forward position from the start, made a wide turn into the stretch and closed with good energy. STEPINFRED showed good speed to get to the front in the opening eighth, could not get clear under strong handling and tired slowly in the last eighth. VIGNETTE was stoutly urged and raced close up, but could not stay in the final issue. SPOUT RUN had good early speed to go well placed, but tired when the real test came. ARIEL CAPE raced well and had a rough trip in the stretch. OSOFREE met with early interference. DIN was ridden hard, but could not keep up while forced to race on the inside. BELAY would not extend himself in the early racing when forced to race on the inside of horses, swung to the outside on the final turn and moved forward readily, then rallied to punishment in the stretch to wear down the leaders swiftly. GRIDIRON was rushed into a contending position rounding the turn and came gamely in the closing drive. HOOT TOOT forced a steady pace from the start, made strong bids and held .on well while finishing on the inside. GREEDAN made up ground in the late stages. LITTLE PINKEY was hard urged and had no mishaps. ROSE BABY drew clear on the turn, but tired badly in the final test. BULLET B. could not threaten. HOWELL VILLE-showed early speed. THE SERF, kept well up in the early running, reached the pacemaker on the turn, rallied to a strong drive in the final eighth and was up in the last few strides. OF COURSE was hurried to the front, was steadied nicely while saving ground and continued gamely when caught. CACKLE TIME was taken into the deep footing midway of the back stretch, saved much ground entering the stretch, but labored badly in the final drive. ROMAUNT, going well placed, was carried very wide into the stretch by VENDORS LIEN and lost all chance. VENDORS LIEN had good early speed, then swung wide on the stretch turn. PHARA BELLE gained a short lead early, was steadied nicely while meeting stout contention from BANNER GIRL, then responded stoutly under a hand ride in the last eighth to draw out gradually. BANNER GIRL had good speed to go along with the winner from the start, made strong challenges and continued gamely. CHERACHIN gained slowly in the stretch drive and outfinishod DOROTHY POMP. The latter made a stout bid midwav of the turn, then tired when kept on the inside. THE TROUT showed speed for the first half mile. POLLY FAIR trailed all the way. Scratched— 72752 Greeny. 111. MORSTEP, favoring the footing, was hustled to the front in the First sixteenth, was rated nicely while saving ground, responded to a drive in the last eighth and had enough in reserve to withstand EASY MON. The latter, forced to race on the inside from the beginning, was placed to punishment when reaching the stretch and finished with good courage. ACE CALL, steadied close up from the start, challenged strongly entering the stretch, then tired in the last eighth. HANTS showed good speed for the first half mile, then tired. ANNIKIN was prominent throughout and was best of the others. SHALL WE DANCE was displaced on the final turn and tired steadily. GEODESIAN was placed to punishment on the final turn, but could not get to the leaders. PALKIN was never a factor. EMMA H. could not untrack herself. NANCY MAE, outrun for the first three-quarters, saved ground in the last half mile and finished courageously approaching the finish. HAPPY ROAD was hustled to the front, met strong "bids from POPO, but failed to rally in the last eighth. TWO ACES closed gamely. WOODWAAC, well up for three-quarters, tired when placed to a drive. BAD DREAMS was unable to menace. PATIENT SAINT "tired and lost ground. The others were outrun.
