GILBERT DOWN UNTIL SEPT. 18 BALTIMORE, Md"., April 28— The Maryland Racing Commission extended the suspension of jockey John Gilbert to September 18 because he appeared at Havre de Grace race track during his current suspension. Gilbert was suspended last fall after his testimony before the commissino in a "ringer" case, the suspension being to May 1. The I commissions order instructed him to stay away from Maryland tracks. The commission stated the excuse offered for appearing at Havre de Grace was not satisfactory.
