DETROIT, Mich., April 28.— The Detroit Racing Association announces the opening of the spring and summer meeting, beginning Saturday, May 20. This meeting will run daily, except Sunday, through to July 15, a period of forty-nine racing days. An important series of outstanding, races have been planned to make this the biggest meeting in the history of the Detroit track. The list of stakes and races attached hereto follows: - St. Clair Stakes, ,000 added, to be run Saturday, May 27, for two-year-olds, five furlongs. Col. Alger Memorial Handicap, ,000 added, to be run Tuesday, May 30, for three-year-olds and upward, one mile and one-sixteenth. ... Belle Isle Handicap, ,500 added, to be run Saturday, June 3, for three-year-olds and upward, six furlongs. Motor City Handicap, ,500 added, to be run Saturday, June 10, for three-year-olds and upward, one mile and one-sixteenth. Sallan Cup Handicap, ,000 added, to be ran Saturday, June 17, for two-year-olds, five furlongs. Cadillac Handicap, ,500 added, to he run Saturday, June 24, for three-year-olcre, six furlongs.
