1 HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES I $ € A notice was posted on the bulletin board at Havre de Grace by Charles J. McLennan advising horsemen that the Suffolk Downs stakes close May 1. Bruce Wetmore, treasurer of the Eastern Racing Association, operating Suffolk Downs, is expected here to attend the Philadelphia Handicap and other numbers Friday. E. K. Murray transferred three members of his stable to Narragansett Park Friday. J. M. Brooks is scheduled to send four horses to Narragansett Park Saturday. Trainer J. P. Jones has been commuting daily between Pimlico and Havre de Grace, due to having his stable split inr two divisions. Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, in charge of his own stable at. present, due to the accident suffered by trainer J. H. Stotler, supervised the shipment of a draft of horses to Pimlico Friday morning and then departed later in the afternoon for Jamaica. Jockey Arthur Craig reached Pimlico from Remlik Hall to report to trainer W. A. Crawford. Craig has been galloping horses daily and reports that he can scale the beams at 105 pounds. His book will be handled by Mike Walsh.
