YOUNG PLAYTIME worked his way up rounding the- far turn and went to the front entering the stretch but could not withstand the rush of the winner, DICK WEIDEL outlasted SPEY FOX. The latter faltered at the end. ROLLS NICE, fractious at the barrier, started from outside the gate and was away nicely, but quit. The others had no mishaps. Scratched— 73014 Hard Rock, 112. UPHOLD, rushed to the front, gave way to the winner, but savpd ground thereafter thoueh tiring in the drive and finished in a dead heat with FAY D. The latter, steadied along early, improved her position at a loss of ground, then dropped back approaching the stretch and tired steadily in the drive. BECOMING was outrun. The others showed nothing. SOUND WAVE, hustled to the front, held a good lead under light restraint, was steered to the inside and stiffest going after reaching the stretch, then tired rapidly nearing the end.
