ROOT TRAINING QUEENS" ADVICE LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 28.— Thomas Root, former jockey who has been training for C. W. Pershall and other patrons for several years, has taken over to train for Knickerbocker and Dunn the two-year-old filly Queens Advice, winner of her first start. Besides this youngster, Root has at the Downs the following horses for Pershall: Booming Guns, Burr Hickman, Brown Ben, Dorothy Agnes, Hose, Sink or Swim, Winged Victory and the two-year-old Judges Sister, a bay daughter of Lee O. Cotner and Poverina.
